1 Introduction & Scope
Welcome to Bhashan Wallah (भाषण वाला) ("we", "our", "us", "Platform"). Bhashan Wallah is an EdTech and digital speech coaching platform founded by Prof. Manoj Shivaji Wable, designed to help Marathi speakers, students, teachers, professionals, and aspiring speakers master public speaking, communication, and stage confidence through structured video masterclasses, curated speech scripts, and AI-assisted speech tools.
This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile application published on the Google Play Store (Bhashan Wallah / com.cloudregex.bhashan_wallah), our official website (bhashanwallah.app), and all associated digital learning services.
2 Information We Collect & Why
To provide high-quality learning experiences, account security, and personalized training, we collect the following categories of data:
Personal Information
• Full Name & Email Address: For profile creation, login authentication, communication, and certificates.
• Phone Number: For account verification, SMS OTPs, and subscription support.
• Profile Avatar: Uploaded image or Google Account photo.
Financial & Transaction Data
• Payment Identifiers: Razorpay Order ID, Transaction ID, Subscription Plan status, and Payment Date.
• Note: We do NOT collect, store, or process raw credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs. All payments are handled by PCI-DSS certified Razorpay.
Audio & Speech Practice Data
• Microphone Permission: Used solely during interactive speech rehearsal, voice analysis, and practice modes.
• Voice Recordings: Processed temporarily to provide speech feedback (pace, pause, modulation). Audio files are never sold or used for public training without consent.
Device & Diagnostic Data
• Device Identifiers: Device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and crash logs.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token: To deliver daily speech tips, masterclass alerts, and subscription notifications.

4 App Permissions Disclosure
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to stream video masterclasses, sync speech drafts, and communicate with our secure backend APIs.
- RECORD_AUDIO (Microphone): Requested only when the user starts an interactive speech practice session or voice analysis. Never recorded in the background.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required on Android 13+ to send daily speech topics, class updates, and subscription status reminders. Users can disable notifications anytime in System Settings.
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / STORAGE: Used solely when you choose to upload a custom profile picture or save downloaded speech notes for offline access.
5 Data Retention, Account & Data Deletion
In strict compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act:
How to request complete Account and Data Deletion:
- In-App Self Service: Open the Bhashan Wallah Mobile App → Navigate to Profile → Tap Settings → Select "Delete My Account".
- Online Deletion Request: Send an email directly to our Data Protection team at privacy@bhashanwallah.app or support@bhashanwallah.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.
Upon confirmation, your profile, authentication credentials, speech drafts, watch history, and device tokens will be permanently deleted from our active production databases within 7 business days. Anonymized transaction records required for tax and regulatory auditing may be retained as mandated by Indian law.
6 Children's Privacy Protection
Bhashan Wallah is an educational application intended for students, youth, and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental/guardian consent. If you believe a child under 13 has registered without consent, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly delete the data.
7 Data Security Measures
We implement industry-grade technical and organizational security measures, including 256-bit TLS (Transport Layer Security) data encryption in transit, bcrypt hashed passwords, Sanctum token authentication, encrypted local caching, and restricted backend firewall access.
